HIDEKI MATSUYAMA

Hideki Matsuyama lost a five-shot lead in four holes and responded with birdies on two of the toughest holes on the course to salvage an even-par 70 and a two-shot victory Sunday in the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Matsuyama, who finished at 17-under 263, won for the second time this year. He shot 62 in the final round to win The Genesis Invitational at The Riviera Country Club. Coming off a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, his performance except for that awful four-hole stretch was golden.
