McIlroy, Matsuyama, Lowry, Fleetwood set to tee it up at FedEx St. Jude Championship

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – The top 70 players in the FedExCup are fighting to secure their place in the FedExCup Playoffs, returning to Memphis in just two weeks. Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood are among those set to tee it up at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, Aug. 14-18.

For the first time since 2012, the PGA TOUR returned to a calendar-year schedule with the regular season contested from January to August. The FedEx St. Jude Championship invites the top 70 players in the FedExCup standings at the conclusion of the regular season with only 50 players advancing to the following week's BMW Championship. The top 50 players in the FedExCup standings after the FedEx St. Jude Championship are fully exempt for the following season, including THE PLAYERS Championship and all eight Signature Events. TPC Southwind will play host to the four-day, no-cut opening FedExCup Playoffs event for the third year.
